Veritas has announced that they will hold the world-debut of their Veritas RS III at the upcoming 2009 Salon Prive at the London Hurlingham Club. The £250,000 ($381,388) car will be joined by no less than seven new models but will be one of the better attractions at the show.
The car pays tribute to the Veritas name - continuing the success story of the original BMW Veritas from the 1940s.
The 2,380 pound Veritas RS III is available with a choice of two different powertrain options. The first is a 4.0L V8 making 480-hp mated to a manual transmission which allows for a 0 to 62 mph time of 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 204 mph. The second option is a 5.0L V10 from the BMW M5/M6 making a total of 600-hp. 0 to 60 mph for that engine choice comes in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 215 mph.
